The college has more than 160 faculty members, including more than 110 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 34 professors (researchers), 41 Deputy high-level teachers, 68% of them have senior titles; 85% of them have graduate degrees or degrees, including more than 90 teachers with doctoral degrees or degrees, and 99% of them have graduate degrees or positions. The college has more than 1500 students, including 82 doctoral students, 592 master students and 841 undergraduate students.

The college has 2 first-class doctoral programs, 7 second-class doctoral programs, 3 first-class master programs, 2 second-class master programs, 3 engineering master programs and 6 undergraduate programs. It has 2 provincial first-class disciplines (Class A), 2 innovation bases, 5 provincial and municipal key laboratories, 3 provincial and municipal high-tech R & D centers, and 7 provincial and municipal scientific research and innovation teams. One provincial collaborative innovation center and one International Joint Laboratory of the Ministry of education.

The college has 6 undergraduate majors: Computer Science and technology, electronic information science and technology, communication engineering, electrical engineering and automation, Internet of things engineering, photoelectric information science and engineering. The major of computer science and technology and communication engineering is the advantage major of Zhejiang University during the 13th Five Year Plan period, and the major of electronic information science and technology is the characteristic major of Zhejiang University during the 13th Five Year Plan period. The major of computer science and technology successfully passed the education certification of Engineering Major in 2017, becoming the first certified major of our university.

The college has two practical teaching bases in Colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province, one demonstration center for basic course experiment teaching in Zhejiang Province, and the existing communication engineering department, information and Communication Engineering Research Institute, electronic information science and Technology Department, electronic science and Technology Research Institute, computer science and Technology Department, computer science and Technology Research Institute, electrical engineering and automation department, and innovation and entrepreneurship teaching 9 grassroots academic organizations in the center of heart and experiment teaching. There are more than 15000 square meters of experimental, scientific research and office buildings.

The college has established good international cooperation with many well-known universities, such as Purdue University in the United States, Montreal University in Canada, Renne 1 University in France, higher institute of electrical engineering in Rouen, ferranhof Institute in Germany, Padua University in Italy, Huxi University, Halmstad University in Sweden, kristanstad University in Sweden, etc. it has successively established good international cooperation relations with Victoria University in Melbourne and University of Western Sydney University of science, University of Wollongong, University of Auckland, etc. are engaged in student training, joint talent training and academic cooperation research in various fields. More than ten experts and professors have been employed as visiting professors, lecture professors, part-time professors and project research professors, and teachers have been selected to study abroad and participate in international academic exchange activities in a planned way.
